KOSCIUSKO — Kosciusko County residents should travel with caution today as the area is under both travel and winter weather advisories.
The travel advisory was issued by the Kosciusko County Emergency Management Agency at 5:38 a.m. this morning. An advisory means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of the weather. Individuals are advised to use caution.
Elkhart, Marshall, Fulton and Cass counties are also under travel advisories. Starke County is under a travel watch, meaning only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended.
Kosciusko County is expected to remain under a winter weather advisory until noon today. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected, with the heaviest accumulations further north.
Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
